Christophe Capelle

Christophe has MSc degree in Immunology from University of Vienna, Austria and is interested in neuroimmunology by exploring the influence of the sympathetic nervous system on immune cell functions during acute and chronic stress. Acute stress being beneficial, whereas chronic stress being detrimental to the immune system, he is trying to elucidate the molecular mechanisms that underlie the shift from beneficial to adverse effects on immune cells that occurs during a period of prolonged stress. Christophe will apply the critical transition theories on time-series RNA-Seq, signaling transduction and CyTOF datasets, generated from sorted human CD4+ T cell subsets exposed to various patterns of neurotransmitters.
